Mission Voice

To rescue and further protect animals that succumb to inhumane factory farming practices.

MISSION Voice is proud to support Farm Sanctuary – advocates who lobby for improved farming animal welfare regulations and who operate two sanctuaries, one in California and one in New York, that provide refuge for hundreds of rescued farm animals.

“With genetic manipulation and intensive production technologies, it is common for modern dairy cows to produce 100 pounds of milk a day. Ten times more than they would produce naturally. – Farm Sanctuary”

Farm Sanctuary works within the reality of factory farming – a world far from the green-pasture-free roaming-cow-country image that the meat and dairy industry paint for consumers, and closer to the “dry lot”, contaminated feeding operations most farms have established today. The green pasture images are marketing tools used to sell billions of dollars in dangerously unhealthy animal products.

The USDA and FDA do not have consumer safety in mind, sorry.

The campaign against factory farming is not just about animal welfare, it’s also about human welfare. And as much as the meat and dairy industry mask their farming and slaughter practices with images of country life, they are also lying to consumers about the what their products really contain. The contamination of meat and dairy is quite an extensive subject; one a number of professionals have thoroughly investigated over the years. GoVeg.com wrote an excellent article that summarizes the primary concerns called “Toxic Shock”.

Over the past two years several States have made some great strides at fazing out some of the most cruel factory farming practices: veal crates, battery cages, tail docking, and gestation crates. This combined with the popular “free ranging” movement are all steps in the right direction, but there is still so much more ground to cover on local and federal levels. Through continuous updates and education, MISSION Voice will provide useful information to individuals interested in making small lifestyle changes that do not support cruel, factory farming practices that are dangerous for both humans and animals.
